Many of us hear the call to step into our power, leadership, and talents through the revolutionary power of LOVE. Our LOVE which is shaped by our joy, our pain, our successes, our losses, and our grief. The communities many of us were born into did not know how to honor the beauty of our being and in some cases even our basic humanity. The calling to remember the truth of who we are still lives in our very bones.
Awakening the Heart, led by Dr. Natasha Wilson, is a retreat designed to support women-identified people who are consciously on a spiritual journey, to tap into the power of Heart Coherence–a state in which the heart, mind, and emotions are synchronized and balanced–in order to more deeply embody awareness and connection with higher aspects of the self and the natural world.
This retreat takes place from February 24-26, 2024 at the Ridge at Maleny in Queensland, Australia. Situated in the heart of the beautiful Sunshine Coast on 300 acres of pristine wilderness, the villas are perched high on the ridge with breath-taking views across the valley.
In Awakening the Heart, we use Heart-Brain Coherence techniques, restorative Kizomba dance, rainforest walks, meditation, delicious food, and access to the opulent natural environment and accommodations to drop into rest and relaxation. Gentleness is the guiding and organizing principle of our time together.
Additional offerings include elements of the 'Empathy and Respect Dance' workshop by Sara Nicole, which creates a beautiful heart-based experience that brings together mindfulness and movement. Sara, a professional dancer and licensed teacher will be co-facilitating with Natasha alongside Shana Turner, MFA. Shana brings twenty-five years of experience with justice organizing, infrastructure development, participatory planning, creative writing projects, and collective learning through a popular education praxis.
The cost of participation* is $999 USD, $1470 AUD, €908 Euro and includes two nights stay in a villa at the Ridge at Maleny, all meals (including a catered dinner from The Tamarind), and full tuition for all workshops and activities. Each villa is equipped with double occupancy bedrooms with queen-sized beds and private soaking jacuzzi tubs, private balcony areas overlooking breathtaking views, a shared kitchen, dining area, and spacious living room with a wood burning fireplace.
